About Me

Twenty-five years ago, I wrote a letter critiquing the editorial of a national daily. It was published and I found my voice. After writing hundreds of letters to various national newspapers, I ventured into the world of blogging. My blog was my own little space where I was able to reflect, review, reminisce and rant. One thing led to another, and blog posts paved way for media critique and political commentary.

Years later, I am now a freelance writer. I call my blog Freebird, based on the fact that my articles are about free will – mostly reflective, sometimes contemplative, but always tongue-in-cheek.


I have contributed articles to various portals like 'The Hoot', Arre, The Quint, SheThePeople, The Huffington Post India and a weekly newspaper called Friday Gurgaon.
I have been a guest commentator for Gurgaon Times, The Times of India.
My column called 'Alkaline' featured in a monthly magazine Diplomacy&Beyond.
I also write for an online magazine called In Vogue Life.


Sharing a link to an interview given to Indian Top Blogs after being awarded a coveted place in the directory of Platinum Blogs. My short story, 'Someone With Character' was published in an anthology called 'Mango Chutney'.

Born on August 20th, I am a quintessential Leo. Loyal, generous, sensitive and laid back. I live in Gurgaon and my children are in London, UK.
